Mirror mirror on the wall ...who is the fairest one of all
All girls at heart are snow white…well they wanna be but instead they are like the evil stepmother who used to ask this question to her mirror and get disappointed plus annoyed at the answer so much so as to take murderous actions.
Well, you need to get your sh** together because there are always gonna be other members of family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, stars or even bloggers who would be better looking than you, have better stuff or seem so mentally put together or can Express themselves better that you start to feel small. These are not good enough reasons to belittle yourself. Because your superpower is that you, as yourself come in a unique package of body and mind which is special, from the time you were conceived to the time you bid goodbye to the world.
No one can be you.
Isn’t that so exclusive.
So if your mirror is not saying to you (with your unique genetic code, your fabulous mind pattern, your special looking, walking and talking ways, your one and only style of processing the world around) that you are the fairest one of all, it means it’s time to ponder and regroup.
Do you like what you see???
In the mirror everyday???
Well, you should, because how can you expect others to like you if you don’t do it yourself.
Self love
- You have to be your biggest fan, your biggest cheerleader, your biggest critic, your biggest mentor. That’s when the real self development and self improvement begins.
- You like what you see and you know how to make it the best version of yourself while inspiring others along the way.

Ways to show yourself some love
Mind over matter and matter over mind:
Nurture your mind with yoga and meditation and spiritual reading or watching (I follow jay shetty and sister shivani and listen to begum akhtar for extra punch to my soul). Nurture your body with skin care routines, massages, hot tubs and your status worthy fashions.
Yummy in my tummy:
Food brings a lot of happiness in our lives so feed yourself what your heart desires every once in a while. Food cheating is the best form of cheating in my books. (For me a sandwich of nutella and strawberries is a height of delight)
Feed the Travel bug:
Just like we are all basically hunters and gatherers in our endeavors, there is a little gypsy in all of us who gets a special form of satisfaction from travelling, whether it’s far and wide or not …it doesn’t matter. Travel.
Curb the expectations
I. Cut yourself some slack during the day
Hustle is my middle name, if I have to confess something to you today. How very ever, just like you give benefit of the doubt to others being a good Samaritan, do it for your fave person i.e. YOU sometimes. Give yourself a chance to miss the bus and still enjoy the day without guilt.
II. Downtime at the end of each day
This has been my mantra for a peaceful night and a blissful day ahead. I usually either watch a show, read a book or simply just browse aimlessly for about half an hour when I am ready to sleep. This has worked for me for years and hope it helps you.
Enough said, I must conclude on a note saying that routines are the best practice you can do for your body and soul whether it is a morning meditation, walking, afternoon napping, bedtime rituals, they all train your body to obey your mind. Once in a while slipping here and there is totally fun and fine but the rest would work like a lifetime therapy towards your inner peace.
Hope this message helps in adding bliss to your life.
Do tell me what are your special ways of showing self-care?
I never look back, darling. It distracts me from the now.
