Bajra or Millet is a great food element.  Being raised in punjabi household, i got introduced to this beauty only after I got married into a gujrati family. So, as another soughat(gift) of my Maika(inlaws), I welcomed it with open spoons to my kitchen and since then its a regular on our table,, equally popular among elders and kids.

Besides the good taste, Bajra (Millet) is loaded with Iron and phosphorus ( for memory and energy), Phytochemicals ( anti cancerous, anti inflammatory and anti aging) and Omega 3 fats(for a healthy heart). Not to forget its gut and weight loss benefits and diabetes control effects due to its fibre content.  The cherry on the top here is that it’s gluten free.

My recipe here is with Qeema ( minced meat).  You can substitute that with minced lamb, chicken or turkey. For Vegetarian options, you can substitute that with black beans, with cauliflower, with sweet potatoes or even potatoes(a little caloric option though):

Together Kabobs make the world better than all the bobs combined. Jarod Kintz

  • 1 Kilo Qeema
  • 1 Slice Bread Soaked and drained
  • 2 Tablespoons Yogurt
  • 2 Tablespoons hara masala
  • 1 Tablespoon Dhania Crushed
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt or as needed
  • 1 Teaspoon Red chilli
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger Grated
  • Hara Dhania as liked
  • Hari Mirchi as liked
  • 2 Cup Bajray ka Ata
  • 1 Teaspoon Haldi
  • Vegetable oil (only if u wanna fry it, I usually bake it)
Preparation
    1. Mix all the ingredients well
    2. Roll the mixture into bite size balls and place on a baking tray lined with foil.
    3. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.

Why have abs when you can have Kababs.

Tips

Take out as soon as the timer rings because they might dry out if left in for longer.
